The DI Weber GmbH and the Hausensteiner GmbH are merged and the newly founded brand TCM GmbH (TOOL CONSULTING & MANAGEMENT) is created.
On the way up
The founding of TCM International Tool Consulting & Management GmbH follows with headquarters in Graz and offices in Koblenz and Györ / Hungary, as well as TCM Polska in Polkowice.
The expansion continues
Within less than a year, the Technology and Development Center, founded in 2003 as a cooperation between the municipalities of Stainz, Georgsberg and St. Stefan with TCM and Peters GmbH, becomes the new headquarters of TCM.
A KPI model (Key Performance Indicator) is developed, with 1: 1 billing of tools.
A TCM in-house training program for CNC grinders is launched.
With the TCM in-house developed software "Praxis", a knowledge database is created.
A new chapter in the company’s history
With the acquisition of the entire areas of tool management, toolmaking and tool grinding for the Opel site in Bochum in July 2006, TCM opens a new chapter in the company's history. 108 employees of Opel were taken over.
TCM as Solution Provider
In order to be able to offer customers the widest possible range of services, TCM expands even further in these years:
Achterberg GmbH and TCM Systems are integrated into the TCM Group.
- 16 business fields including measuring equipment and fluid management
- Plant construction
- With the help of Toolbase (dispensing systems from Achterberg GmbH) the TCM Service Level 3 is created.
The technology-oriented tool manager
The Tool Management analyses are perfected and the business model Tool Management Level 6 (Productivity) is launched.
The change in production takes place - TCM the technology partner
In the years from 2013 to 2017, TCM changes its corporate philosophy and with the new "Strategy2018" the step into the future is taken. "Digitalization, SMART PRODUCTION, INDUSTRY 4.0, E-MOBILITY," are the buzz words of politics. TCM promotes research and development with partners from industry, universities and research institutions worldwide.
Internally, TCM recognizes the digitization wave with the implementation of a new ERP system (SAP), a new intranet (Aeneis), the tool management software (WinTool), the tool dispensing software ATMS (Toolbase) and the TCM Cockpit (management evaluations).
The management chart is updated
A modern management system with young executives supports the current and sole managing director. 5 executive managers focus on their Tasks.
Focus on Smart Machining
People + Technology + System + ICT = SMART MACHINING
The human being is still the focus of TCM.
The mirroring of the analogue world into the digital world leads from process competence to digital intelligence and ensures the higher competitiveness of the TCM group.
